Wim Wenders:
"He was a businessman and he was rich and he was unhappy and he was drinking a lot and his life was going down the drain. One morning he wakes up in this crummy hotel room, doesn't even know how he got there, doesn't even know if he had sex or whatever happened. He thinks his life is shit, and he doesn't like it. He actually plays with the idea of ending it. Then, miraculously, early in the morning, there's this ray of sunlight appearing on this wall in front of him. And it falls through the little tree in front of the window. There is this play of leaves and sunlight and shadows moving, and he looks at it and stares at it and he starts crying, because he's never seen anything so beautiful. He probably has seen it, but he hasn't noticed. Then he realizes that's the answer to his existential crisis, to become somebody who notices that. He gives up his expensive car, his business job and becomes a gardener and eventually, the guardian of these toilets, because they're all in little parks. Somehow, they found Hirayama as the ideal character to take care of them. That was the backstory."
It was going fine until the murder scene.
He has second thoughts, panics and instead of rushing out, he starts chasing the girl up the stairs.
Then makes two unintentional murders.
It's a very old, lame joke and Tilda's storytelling is not helping.
She was dying in the room and had a last thought of things that matter to her most boxing, her mother and her sister.
Gonzalo (student) tried to frame Roberto (lawyer) but he didn't succeed.
A guy kills his pregnant girlfriend and then the story follows 2 detectives trying to figure out his identity. A regular police flick.
Actually, to win the bet, she needed to bring 2 witnesses who would confirm that she was walking the entire day.
No, there are no connections.
It's hers, she didn't have a sister.
I don't know what the reply was, but Arkasha is a diminutive of Arkady and is used in an affectionate manner.
Most of Slavic names have nicknames. One of the theories is that since we are very superstitious, in the old times parents never called their children by their given name in front of strangers because they were afraid of curses. This also goes for gods, Slaves never spoke about their gods in front of strangers.
Yes, you are right, Psyche spiced the sangria. In the interview at the beginning she was talking about her motivation, saying she needed to get away from Berlin and the drug scene and also the story about the roommate.
She was also drinking sangria but probably controlled herself since she had experience and knew what to expect. The others obviously took too much since their reactions were over the top.
In the final scene, there is a book next to her titled LSD psychotherapy. So she put the whole group under therapy to make them explore their inner self. Or maybe she was bored with the crowd and wanted the party to be like she had in Berlin. I guess it's open for interpretation.
I bit late answer but anyway...

I was thinking the same thing. Or at least use your legs to hold on to the rope when you are not pulling.
Victoria is also a good movie, done in one take.

Isabel Hoyt is the daughter of Edward Hoyt. His wife's name was Emma, Isabel's husband and daughter died in a car accident.
Isabel was going crazy, more and more. Her father certainly didn't want to put her through police questioning and trial.
What I can't find convincing is that Lucy who was doing drugs and alcohol all the time never slipped up over the years and told her secret. Instead, she was deceiving police and accusing her husband, that it's his fault. Also, hours after knowing her son was murdered, she decided to take money for her silence and sell her daughter, and then convincingly play a role of a grieving mother.
