You are correct in that US companies only make about 1/3 of the foreign B.O. from last I read. However, usually if it's made for China in mind as well, it's also partly funded by a Chinese company from the start. So the entire cost isn't on the USA production company only.
This argument always cracks me up. There's a toenail in my sandwich, guess I shouldn't say anything since i'm not a chef! Do you think they put out this movie NOT to make money and be judged or something? Can't have it both ways - they want your money but not your opinion on the film.
Yeah she annoyed the hell out of me. Was so glad when she got off the screen. Add it to the list of new characters they introduced then killed.
Last jedi was 10x better. This movie isn't even fun like it should have been. it introduced a ton of characters just to kill them off, and tried to shove EVERY story we've heard about Han into one movie. The acting was weak, and Has was boring. A Lando movie would have been MUCH more interesting. Or a Chewie movie. Really anyone around Solo would have made a better movie.
I loved it. The whole thing makes fun of comic books and their movies way more than the 1st. I thought the original tried too hard to be edgy with the humor, and it backfired. This one was much more cohesive and flowed well from beginning to end.
