So you don't use capital letters, and don't want to watch her pee???!!!! Man, you are just not in her wheel house for what she needs from a man. I've heard the thing that turns her on the most is when a guy starts a sentence with a capital letter. Ohhhhh that sucks dude. Sorry about that. Maybe Hillary Swank will work out better for you. What was her problem???!!! You seem like such a great catch! WOW! I never caught that before. I was about to say the dinner scene, but Maizy never speaks, and is never directly spoken too. When I read the title "One Thing I Realized Is Unrealistic." my first thought was "The ONE thing???!!!" Maybe he does have as much heart as Rudy does, but its just not all directed at football. Perhaps he took a good long look at his situation and realized that there were a lot of other things he wanted to do with his life aside from football. He had a ton of money, is really smart, and his body and mind are in as good of shape as they're going to be. So why not move on to the next phase of his life, while he can do so on his own terms. The first two groups didn't get mowed down. After the cover fire they were able to move into different positions, but unable to take out the machine gun until Jackson got him. Reiben, Mellish and Caparzo were among those that moved. No way they would get the points for beating Jester. They intentionally broke the hard deck rule and didn't put themselves in anybodies good graces with the high speed fly by. But he did gain some respect from Viper, though he never would have admitted it to Maverick. No they did not. Even the article acknowledges that. When a pilot calls "No Joy" during a simulated dog fight, that is basically like calling time out for fear of a safety issue. Maverick had just done a crazy/stupid maneuver, and Jester had lost both visual of him as well as radio contact. Jester called no-joy (not shown in the movie, but mentioned by Viper) and went below the hard deck to verify that Maverick was ok. Maverick ignored the time out call as well as the hard deck rule and engaged Jester. Some might be suspicious of Jesters timing of the no joy call. Consider he had the advantage for almost the entire fight, but had just suddenly lost it to a crazy stupid move and was about to be beaten by this reckless, and cocky pilot. But then again, he may have actually been worried for Mavericks safety. Best Actress was pretty much the only award this movie won at most award shows that year. The other nominees that year: Annette Benning for The Kids are Alright, Jennifer Lawrence for Winters Bone, Michelle Williams for Blue Valentine, and Nicole Kidman for Rabbit Hole. Black Swan is the only movie of that group that I even remember and Portman was fantastic in it. If shes not your winner than who it? They had Eric the Actor on an episode. That is the equivalent of signing your own death warrant. They put Eric the Actor in an episode. He's a proven show killer. Magic Picasso was 31 at the time, and had gained some fame for his work both in Europe and America. He already had done some of his most famous work at that point, but he would be around for almost 60 more years, and his stature would dramatically rise after that. Losing those paintings might have been a bigger lose for Cal than the diamond. He had insurance for the diamond, but doubt he had it for the art. And he eventually would have sold the paintings for a huge return on his investment. Rose probably would have kept the diamond for the rest of their lives. Keep in mind, they met while at college. They were at Berkeley so she probably wasn't facing very stiff competition. And he admitted to smoking a lot of weed, so that might have affected his judgement. Maybe she had his hook up for the best stuff. Then once she got him in the sack, she wowed him with her amazing skills, and he could never get her out of his head. In actuality, Chris is actually much closer related to Carmela than he is to Tony. Dickie Moltisanti's mother was the sister of Carmela's father. So Carmela and Chris's father were first cousins. So her and Chris are first cousins once removed. For Tony: Joanne Moltisanti's maiden name is Blundetto. She was Al Blundetto's sister (Tony Uncle Al), who married Quintinna (Livia Soprano's sister). So Tony and Chris are both first cousins to Tony B, but on opposite sides of his family. Adriana explained it to the FBI agent in season 5 that Tony and Chris have another connection that's much longer and more drawn out. And yes Carmela and Tony are distantly related to each other, but its through several marriages, and not incestual. Ray (Costner) didn't look like a Midwest farmer, because he WASN'T a Midwest farmer. He grew up in New York, and went to school at Berkeley during the 60's. It's probably a safe assumption that he had pretty liberal views, that were much different from his neighbors and in-laws. Annie was from Iowa, and talked him into buying a farm. Not sure what he was doing prior to that. I don't think the show has gone away any more than any other huge show has a decade after their conclusion. It still pops up anytime there's a greatest show of all time discussion, or one of those click bait list like "Most shocking tv show moment" or "TV character death we still haven't gotten over." While there have been shows since then that have gained "event" status whenever there's a new episode (Game of Thrones and Breaking Bad being the biggest) but I don't think that diminishes anything The Sopranos did. The two things that might work against the Sopranos are both due to being on HBO. First is that it's nearly impossible to syndicate, due to the language, violence and nudity (even though in hindsight, there wasn't that much nudity). A&E tried it for awhile, and probably did as good as possible, but in the end you just longed to watch the regular version. And second, after Netflix took off, HBO realized that Netflix was making a fortune off the shows HBO produced. So they wised up, created their own App, which is awesome, and yanked all their stuff off other streaming services, and put it on their own. Brody may have ultimately had the authority to close the beaches, but it was made clear on the ferry that the Mayor would throw enough hurdles in his way to make it impossible. First you had the reporter saying that Brody would need a city ordinance or a resolution by a board of selectment. Obviously he would never get either of those, since it would have to come from people whose lives depended on the beaches being open. And second, the coroner was changing his report from shark attack to boat accident. So now Brody would have no probable cause to close the beaches. Brody may have backed down, but he did so because he knew it was fight he could not win. And even if he did manage to close the beaches immediately, then what? There's no second attack, Jaws moves on to another territory, and the town loses a fortune. The Mayor immediately shifts blame on to the overreaching Chief, and the newspaper, which was in the Mayor's pocket trashes Brody as an incompetent mainlanders who had no regard for their beautiful island home. Brody would have nothing to back him up, not even the coroners report. Mrs. Kitner probably didn't have any inside scoop on island politics. So some neighbor, probably another islander told her that the Chief would be the one to close the beaches, and not only did he not do that, but he was sitting there that day watching all the kids endanger themselves. And that was easy enough for her to believe and she went with it. Though perhaps one day she did get the true story, because she was at the Brody's house the day after Sean was killed.
