Meh. She was one of the most beautiful women in the world back then let alone Hollywood.
I will defend Rose when it comes to certain things, & I do 100% believe she was raped, but don't get me wrong I have my problems with her.
1. She has two different stories about the hush money she received from Weinstein. If you are telling the complete truth you aren't going to change your story.
2. She claims she is the one who ended the relationship with Marilyn Manson, & accused him of "bashing her in the media for years". In reality Rose has bashed him way more than he has her, & she was the first one to go on Howard Stern & start running her mouth. Manson's story about the breakup was very different & more logical. Since Rose has felt the need to tell society for 20 years that she's the one who ended the relationship, I doubt she did the dumping.
3. She went out of her way to remain in Hollywood after her rape. To the point where she stole Robert Rodriguez from his wife so he would put her in his movies.
4. She manipulated her way into getting false documentation & was posing as a 23 year old when she was 15, & was having sex with grown ass men. She also plays the victim big time when it comes to this, which is a big red flag in my opinion.
5. If she lived in Italy for the first decade of her life why couldn't she speak a word of Italian on her Citizen Rose show, & had to have a translator?
I'm a big fan of her she was my first celebrity crush...but I see through her BS.
Yeah you can see how full of life Rose was in Scream. Watching her in Charmed & other later things she just feels so soulless. She was on her way to being the Marilyn Monroe of her generation, but she refused to be Hollywood's jiz rag so she was punished & pushed away.
I'm pretty sure it's on that official documentary that comes with the Bluray trilogy.
Yes she says "no mom". Rose talks about it in an interview that she didn't feel comfortable in her screaming ability so she wanted to yell no mom instead.
I've owned it for 25 years, & have 3 different versions of it. It seems we have a simple difference of opinion as far as the pacing of the film goes. I still love the movie.
To the people saying she was "kinda" hot or "never" hot you guys would have been falling at her feet back when she was in her 20s. She was one of the most beautiful women in the world back then.
If the shoe was on the other foot she'd be all over it. She consistently makes it obvious that she simply hates men.
I don't think so. She was the teen sex symbol of her generation, nothing more nothing less. I'm not hating on her at all by saying that, I was a big fan of Scream & Jawbreaker as a young teen, & she was my first crush. She was really good in Scream but that was when she was still young & applying herself. After she got with Marilyn Mason she just had the 'starf*** her way to the top mentality, started doing drugs all the time & stopped applying herself. Her acting in Charmed is terrible & soulless.
I'm sure the sexual assault took a toll on her mental state as well & was probably the source for most of the drug use. She was a good actress when she wanted to be, but she didn't apply herself much at all after Scream.
I believe its been stated by either Craven or Williamson that the purpose of the attack was to just to toy with & scare her.
I didn't see it in theaters & I'm glad of that. I grew up with the uncut VHS.
This is definitely the best version of Robin Hood. As well as my favorite Disney Animated film. This is the Gold Standard as far as I'm concerned. Also I don't hate Prince of Thieves.
I rewatched this movie for the first time in about 20 years, & honestly I feel like the pacing is terrible & everything happens to fast in it as well. I have never read the book. Pretty much as soon as the tour starts the fences go out & everything goes to shit. There is no build up to it, & it irritated the crap out of me.
This movie isn't the greatest, but yes the original Halloween is overrated.
I have always thought that Scream should have been a stand alone film.
The worst part of it is the fact that this 5'2 girl kills Dewey. That's really how Dewey, the backbone of the franchise is going to go out!? Don't get me wrong I knew that Dewey was going to die in this, we all did, but Stu should have been the one to do it. Not some 5'2 goth girl.
Yes I'm sure.
The point of the scene is to build tension. Something that the overrated original Halloween is not only praised for, but considered the "greatest slasher of all time" for. But herr derr "Scream ruined horror because the 90's & blah blah". Good points bud.
Meta is meta.
No they didn't. They entered through the door that Stu retrieves Sidney's Dad from. The door to the garage in the real house is in the laundry room.
