Yep! I like the Soska sisters so I think it will be good. Also American Mary had some awesome special effects - some that didn't even look like special effects until after I saw how there were done in Behind the Scenes (like a dummy that looked super real). So I think they'll do a good job. They have some good old school approach to horror.

Everything you mention is part of the scene. The music, the tension - that shouldn't be discounted. It was scary for a reason - because it was scary.

I just watched it for the first time tonight. I saw the statue right away (black lawn jockey). But yeah, this was made years ago so they probably didn't think much of it.

I thought Sweets was a ton of fun but also rather disgusting and icky. I think the two main actors were terrific though (especially the girl) and that really worked for the story. I also thought that it was more "Theater Bizarre" than the other segments, some of which were too dumb or too serious.
