yeah, I'm not sure why the writers continue to make him a failure at true love. I suppose for the comedic element, but it's really not that funny, just sad.
I kept thinking the whole time that there would have to be security cameras somewhere that the police could obtain footage from. Years ago, I read a statistic that said that the average person is filmed about 25 times a day by security cameras, traffic cameras, etc.
A lot of women I know just swoon over Sam Elliot. I've never understood it. He does nothing for me. I also agree with Jude Law. Something about that man just annoys me.
Since it's been months since both of you posted, don't know if you'll come back to see this reply. I watched this scene with the closed captions on and what Meredith says is Moss Bros. Bros. being short for Brothers, but she does pronounce it like Bross to rhyme with Moss. Moss Bros. was a high-end men's fashion store, so she probably was referring to that being where they would get the tux for the wedding for the groom.
I always just assumed she was hanging out with her after she got off work, or she was on her lunch break. Doesn't make sense, though, if she was staying after work because she'd need to get home to all those kids she had.
Another thing that wasn't realistic was her telling Novalee that she gave up her lunch "hour" so that she could leave work at 3 p.m. instead of 4 to meet Roger. No way do nurses and aides get an hour for lunch. I used to work in nursing. Sometimes you're lucky to get the half hour lunch break.
They did say that his neighborhood was abandoned except for him, which would explain why no one heard what was going on. The thing that bothered me the most was the scene where he attacked her again after she shut up his dog in the car trunk. No way would he have been able to find her in that car, out away from his house, with him being blind.
Most people in days gone by had a metal container they kept on or near the stove to pour the grease into after they fried bacon. They kept it to use when cooking other foods. Not healthy, of course. My mom had one when I was a kid and she used to use some of the bacon grease when "frying down" fresh green beans from the garden. Probably why my dad eventually had to have 5 heart bypasses, but did they ever taste good.
Ignore him. He was a fixture at the old Deadwood forum at IMDB and he was arrogant there, as well.
I just finished watching season 3 again, and as far as I can tell, it was never made clear the connection among the theater people. If the show had been allowed to continue, we might have learned.
