I hated that too. And not just because it was another example of the yuppie mantra "NEVER say no to work. Work trumps all." Earlier when he says, "It's ONLY two days, dear," I thought of Joanna and The Stepford Wives. "It's going to happen BEFORE that. Don't you see?" In movies like this, they never do.
