True. Plus they had to build variety into the seasons, which probably also explains the unevenness at times. I'm always interested to see which episodes are beloved by others that aren't my favorite.
Yeah, Black Leather Jackets didn't age too well. I wonder how it fit in back when it aired.
But yeah, I'd rather watch even a ho-hum TZ than most other shows.
Interesting you find it creepy, as I've always found this one to be a bit if a tear-jerker. Reminds me of my grandfather, I guess.
I'm glad TZ re-used actors. Most of the then were worth it too. :)
The girl is also good in this, not annoying like some.

Yes, not the most "wow" episode, but at least it wasn't worse.
I'll be here for as much as possible! We'll have guests at 5 pm, but will do as much as possible before then (when not sleeping...)

Just saw this on TCM for the first time today. (I've seen APITS numerous times), and I felt much the same.
They also made the "society girl" role more shallow and less worthy.
They also made the trial much more intense and a longer part of the film. Maybe they wanted a more "moral lesson" type of movie?
Hahaha. When I saw this thread my first thought was "her nails"! WAY too modern for a poor country women who likely had to do manual labor all the time on a farm.

"Jess-Belle". I was babysitting for my neighbors on New Year's Eve and watched a TZ marathon on WGN.
More like 30-some years. They likely experience it, sadly.
