IMO, I don't think so. I think it was more to put the judge on defense that he had the power to kill his son at any time now that he/wife truly knew what happened...but since he realized the daughter was in love with him, that he would not kill him as it would drive her away......and he was all about keeping his family intact as best as possible. I think the fact Coffie.....or i.e. someone died in the name of his son, that would be enough. I think they really left it open ended regarding what his true intent was...but that was my interpretation on the events. I saw it when I was a kid.....it really was an awesome movie back then. It was super slow........and boring Just saw today, I would agree......cheezy but fun. I just fast watched the DVR of the finale of season 7, in the last 2 minutes, she was having dinner with the family before it rolled the credits......I hate when they kill off characters without any explanation and some long winded BS about how they died......all we know is Danny's a mess because of it, but no indication of how it got to that point by how she died....more lame writing IMO. Cool. Thank you. Do you recall own they had it from the first film? I haven't had a chance to rewatch the first to remember how or when that part happen on how they had it in their possession. Truly terrible news, he was a great actor.....he will be missed.
