Thanks! I will definitely stick around. Yes. It does feel good being in a lifeboat after drifting for a few days! Although I was sort of an infrequent poster on IMDb, (marciaOh on IMDb) I was a frequent reader of the boards, referring to them constantly after watching a film or TV show. I was surprised at how strongly the termination of the boards struck me. It was sort like suddenly losing a friend I went to for conversation all the time. I am so happy MovieChat has sprung up like a lighthouse to guide me from the sea of lost souls looking for a home after losing the IMDb boards. Johnny Crawford was so cute in this series. He became a teen idol and launched a singing career. Bachelor Father was another favorite of mine when I started watching it in reruns on TV. It used to be shown a lot but I haven't seen it for sometime. Bentley Greg was so suave and handsome. It was fun wondering who the next gorgeous woman he would bring home would be. Kelly was the perfect, pert 1950s teen girl. Of course, filming the series in Beverly Hills gave it glamour. I have one criticism. I was bothered by Kelly's long time boyfriend, the disheveled blond guy. He was not at all attractive and his sort of dumb, bumbling attitude didn't fit with Kelly's privileged, attractive persona. The casting just seemed wrong in respect to the boyfriend. It's surprising you know who Elizabeth Bennet is. I'm impressed. The Lodger is the best. It's a classic thriller. The acting, set design, directing, script were all outstanding. Any vintage film shot in England, I usually feel is great. Hail Caesar! on HBO It was disappointing--boring and disjointed. I would rate it a 4 on a scale of one to ten.
