Manhunter was the better version. Given the cast assembled for Red Dragon, the final product was extremely bland. Norton is one of my favourite actors. However, he sleepwalks through the movie, delivering none of the intensity of Peterson's performance in Manhunter. Hopkin's produces a parody of his previous Lecter. It felt like he was channeling Stan Laurel. It is. For me, it's down to radio stations being lazy. They play the more accessible material as they think that is what the audience wants. If they were to play his more diverse work the audience would become in tune with it. Season five finale, Swan Song, was how Eric Kripke wanted to end the series. That was his planned series finale. And what a fantastic finale it would have made. Cinemas open for business on Wednesday (26th August) in Scotland. Got a ticket for Tenet. Looking forward to it. I have read a lots of these <i>This was so bad</i> threads over the years. This version was well made, with a good cast and production values. The reviewers may not like the end product. However, that does not make it poor quality. i would prefer Hugh Jackman in the role. Totally agree, it was a crazy decision. I cancelled my account this morning. Had been a member since June 2002.
