Charles was so full of himself, thinking he could influence everyone with his fists and big talks.
ANd laughing like theres no tomorrow...
He couldn't eat without making a fool of himself... always eating with his mouth open, making a loud smacking sound.
Because Laura was the only biological daughter of Charles. We all know that Caroline couldn't stand her husband, so she took it out on her.
Her braids made her looked like unattractive, especially in season 5 and 6 :

It didn't help that she was still a tomboy when she was supposed to dress and act like a young woman :)

One of my favorite episodes is "Laura Ingalls Wilder" when Eliza Jane fell in love with Harve Miller. This was the first time I felt sorry for her and I liked what she did for Almanzo and Laura.
