Jibaro is by far the best episode of Season 3

Coolest animation style I have even seen.

reply

Yes, but the story is nothing special.
But I would love a video game set in a world in which knights look like Latino gangbangers.

reply

Yup. Another stunning short from Alberto Mielgo. The Witness from volume one still blows me away.

reply

Looked great (beautiful) but story wise ... meh.

reply

Definitely the most original episode of all -- and that is saying a lot. Music, animation style, incorporating dance.

The style was definitely gorgeous but I think they overdid the shaky cam effect. I get that they were going for a heightened manic atmosphere but they could have done it a little better than just shaking so much. Also, anyone else get the feeling the siren was originally envisioned as nude? Not sure why but just comes across that way.

reply

Yeah probably given what they did with The Witness....

I'm guessing that's probably what the goal was after she had been stripped of her gems, but I'm sure that was halted because Netflix certainly has a hard-on for reducing attractive females being used as eye-candy (there was a lot of it in season one of Love, Death + Robots, and practically none of it in season 2. And here in season 3 the only partially nude female was the black chick in Swarm, yet we had to see a swinging schlong in Kill Team Kill for a minute or two).

reply

The story would have been so much better had she been nude and bending.

Beautifully told story, without any dialogue either. It's probably my favorite so far. I appreciate a cool, small bite of a story. But I felt that this was one of the few episodes that really went a step farther in its aims.

reply

It was my favourite from s3. It looked absolutely gorgeous.

reply

Def lived up to its word of mouth good and bad. From S3 I really enjoyed episodes 2, 4 & 8.

Was she a harpy, siren, or banshee??
