My bro keeps telling me to watch this show lol
My brother keeps telling me how good this is and that I should watch it. Ugh.
I might have to cave in and give it a try, but I did not care for Rogue One.

Give it a try. Diego Luna is a great actor, fairly underrated
shareWatching episode 1 now. It's ok so far. It's surprisingly very British lol.
shareIt feels like a 9pm BBC-made Star Wars show.
shareStay with it. The way the story unfolds is the first 2 episodes culminate in a great 3rd episode. 4 and 5 lead into 6. 7, 8, and 9 lead into 10. And then 11 leads to 12.
Fantastic episodes await you on 3, 6, 10, 11, and 12. The other episodes are good too but they serve mainly to build up the plot so that the story really hits on those episodes. I think you'll agree when you're finished but I'd be curious to hear what you think when it's over.
I didn't care for this for the same reason I didn't care for Rogue One: whereas the latter was "Star Wars, but as a serious, gritty war movie," this is "Star Wars, but as a serious, gritty spy thriller," both of which, in my opinion, are antithetical to what Star Wars actually was.
shareTrue. But only if you assume the Star Wars universe is as shallow as the Flash Gordon that inspired it half a century ago... This is a grownup space-opera set in the Star Wars universe and people who don't care for most Star Wars as simple-minded action fare will like this. Me, I like both types of film.
I totally hated the Foundation series, but this is everything that Foundation failed at.
It's okay. Nothing to rave about IMO. The bar is just so low that putting out a competent Star Wars series makes it seem amazing. There's nothing here we haven't seen before. It's just a lot of typical intrigue story-lines wrapped up in a Star Wars setting.
