So. Is this basically just a rehash of The Almighty Johnsons?

The Almighty Johnsons is a New Zealand production where the Norse Gods reincarnate in New Zealand. Its a bit more complicated than that, of course. I enjoyed it a great deal.
I've just seen the link for this on Netglix, so I'll add it to my to watch list. I would guess that, while the base concept is similar it will take a different approach.
