If this movie were never made...

... and the last we ever saw of Jesse was his driving off, laughing and crying, after Walt rescued him — would anything have changed?

The way the series ended, the audience was intended to assume that Jesse would start a new life, somewhere & somehow.

So why was it necessary to have a movie that shows how and where he started a new life? The series already covered it

To line people’s pockets. Make no mistake, this was a cash in. Nothing more. Nothing less.

It’s an epilogue, the story really ended in Felina. Instead of speculating what happened to Jesse we now know.

It did some fun things with some loose ends. Did you not like it?

I was fairly disappointed in this film. I don't think it was necessary at all. It really was just a lengthy epilogue like the other fellow has stated.

I think movie kinda tried to be a few different things but didn't succeed in any of them. At best, I think it's a nice little reunion production.

While I enjoyed El Camino it was highly unnecessary. Everything that happened didn't really add anything to the BB story. As the movie went on it was like duh, of course that's what he'd do. I didn't need a movie to spell out everything I had already imagined him doing post BB.
