The people on that island couldn't catch a break. Attacked from the sea by the megs and giant octopus and for some, unexplained - but should we really even be asking or just ride with it? - reason some land based mini dinosaurs just seem to appear to attack them as well! Why?!
What was going on with that? Where were they supposed to have come from?
We are meant to believe they all came up for the ride with the megalodon, lol. You really have to suspend belief with those movies 😂 They certainly are a fun time though!
Hell, I don't know.. I suppose we weren't meant to focus so heavily on that for dumb entertainment. You know?? At the time this was about to come out, I pimped the living shit out of this movie to ad nauseum and now, I own it on Blu Ray and after watching it again, it really is boring for 1/2 of the movie, mainly because they just spent too much damn time down in the Trench with barely any carnage except Giant Sharks seen swimming around.. I thought the best scene in the movie, was when the bad guy attempted to flee in the rubber boats and the thing came up behind them and munched ALL OF THEM!! Now THAT'S what we wanted to see more of..
Yeah, exactly 😂 I was saying that in a reply further up - I don't think you're even supposed to think about it! It's all moving so fast - There are dinosaurs now? Yeah, there are dinosaurs now, don't sweat it, just watch...
Totally agree re the first half. We only saw this yesterday as Cineworld was doing some "special" (/ cheap!) Screen X screenings and I thought this would be fun to see on that. But the action in The Trench stuff was too dark for my liking.
Couldn't really get a grasp of what was going on when they were getting attacked by those smaller raptor style fish and when the megs arrived.
It really picks up after that though - the banter between the guys on the rig put us back in fun territory before we literally go to fun territory!
I liked that shot from inside the Meg's mouth where we just see the teeth munching down on people 😂
I suppose they were descended from those creatures we saw in the T-Rex prologue. How they can breathe underwater at the depths that the Trench is at, I don't know.
