Awesome. I'm going to see a movie about Jason Statham fighting giant sharks with a sword. I don't want it to be good.

Actually no you won't. What you'll see is an hour and some change of Stratham and his team exploring the Trench in an underwater action movie. Other than the first 30 seconds of the movie, only the last 20 minutes has any real shark action, with some Jurassic park sprinkled in.

It almost felt like 3 movies cobbled together.

Now at 29% among critics and 74% among audiences. It's a dumb shark movie and critics are out of touch with mainstream audiences. They always have been.
