Found footage - waited for something which never came
I usually like found footage movies, starting with Cannibal Holocaust (1980), but this one was a real let down. It started off interesting because the main character is very much an everyday kinda guy who gets onto something interesting, but then he spends all this time walking around a forest with night vision and it just doesn't really do anything.
It got a bit tense at times and I kept expecting something more to be seen, something far in the distance, a non-human figure, which he loses sight of. But it wasn't like that.
