Happily. Unfortunatly not possible.
This show for example if you dare criticise Inquisitor Reva (Moses Ingram) you will be instantly called racist, sexist, misogynistic or all 3.
It works in all directions. Hollywood and media pushes these narratives under the guise of diversity and inclusion and when people push back no matter there complaints they are labelled an "ism".
So again. Would love to just discuss movies and shows but untill that narrative amongst others changes that will never happen and will stay partisan.

It is those that criticize Reva that complain she is a POC and a woman.
That’s why they are being called racist and mysogynistic.

No. They are complaining she is poorly written and poorly acted and that this will be another Disney bait and switch show.
This then gets turned into "you hate woman", "Because she is black or a woman" like you have just put.
That equals as you so eloquently put racist and misogynistic.
Until somoen can freely criticise withot those "isms" then conversation cannot happen.
Personally I think she is an awful character.

There are several post in this board where the rightwingers are focusing on the fact that she is a POC and a woman.
If they only criticized her character and didn’t bring up her skin color or gender, you might have a point.

And there are many that haven't so why are you ignoring those ones. Do you have a specific narrative to push so only your side of the conversation is the only one.
So what if someone mentions her sex or skin colour are they not allowed to, is it off limits. Movies with white characters regularly get told they are not diverse enough and need more black people in them so whats wrong with the same criticsm. Or as i expect anything negative of a black person or woman is off limits.
If you want to have a true discussion that doesn't involve skin colour or sex then why are you solely focusing on those points instead of the others who have genuine criticism.

You know...I'd be interested in seeing a single example of that. Someone complaining about a poorly written character and someone else jumping all over them calling them a racist etc?
Because I'm as liberal as they come and think she was a poor character...

Know what I think? I think its bullshit...something you hear time and time again about how you just "Can't say anything without being called" whatever. Its not true. At all.

This is exactly my point. Same thing on any one of the sequel trilogy. Discussion is IMPOSSIBLE on those boards. It's like that with almost every modern movie.

I agree with this point, but there's also the people who complain about "black actresses" being in a lead role. It's on this board and it's on Doctor Sleep, which I just recently saw.
