What's the deal with the horse?
The son shows his mother the grave of the horse and it appears that the horse is only partially buried. How did that happen when the hole was huge? And why did she start to dig it up??

shareThe horse's name was Bojack, so we must infer that he didn't go into that grave or allow himself to be buried alive, at least not without giving fierce resistance
shareThe horse’s name is Richmond and he was euthanized by a neighbor. The deal is the horse is obviously symbolic of everything in this story. I hated this film as soon as I saw it going down this lazy quasi-artsy path. I don’t want to watch an animal suffer just because some writers were too thick to develop an interesting story.
