How is a 50 year old creature that infantile in behavior?

I understand baby Yoda is cute. I understand that with a lifespan of 900+ years, a 50 year old of this species can still be infantile in physical development. But that creature still has 50 years of life experience.

Did it just sit in a stroller all day and nap for 50 years? WTF has it been doing all this time? Why hasn't it developed language and communication skills in 50 fricking years?

I'm thinking the same thing. But I guess if you live to be 900 years old, then caring for an infant for 50 years may not be the burden we see it as.

It's not the burden ... it's just it is too ... fragile.

Hell, in the past human life expectancy was 35 and not because we were dying of old age ...
