I don't know if there are any African actors in this, but how is this different than white people profiting from African American culture? I wonder how 1.2 billion Africans are going to feel about their culture and history being hijacked for profit by black Hollywood? Or do they get a pass because if you go back far enough its the same ancestry?

shareDid you know each title page here has a link to IMDB where you can look this stuff up? Some of the leading actors are American or British. Sheila Atim is Ugandan, Thuso Mbedu and Makgotso M are South African, Jimmy Odukoya is Nigerian.
The Dahomey region is now part of the Republic of Benin. Africa is very diverse. I doubt that people in, for example, Somalia or Chad care at all about how the USA entertainment industry depicts the people of a kingdom that no longer exists.
