And White people were never capturing Black Africans. They bought EXISTING slaves. The author of Roots even admitted this false portrayal that it was designed to give Black people some mythology.

Whitewashing in film is simply substituting a white actor for a colored actor. It actually exists even if you say it does not.

Whitewashing does not exist. Name me one case when a coloured role was replaced by a White for ideological reasons. Even if you go way back to John Wayne playing Genghis Khan, his casting was done for practical reasons.

If the Chinese make a remake of Billy the Kid and for the Chinese market and cast everyone as Chinese, is anyone going to be offended by that? Likewise if Americans make a movie about ancient Egypt and cast famous Hollywood actors because the movie is mainly aimed for Western markets and because there aren't many famous Egyptian actors in Hollywood who can make a return of a 100 million dollar investment - this is done for practical (thus understandable) reasons. I am White identatarian, but if there was some practical reason they needed to cast a Black actor for the next Superman or James Bond, I wouldn't mind at all. I am only bothered by it if they do it for ideological reasons.

Whitewashing is a term that is used in the context of moral judgement. The very term implies there is something morally wrong with and there isn't because it's not done for ideological reasons. Neutral term would be "race swapping". Race swapping exists, but whitewashing with it's negative connotation does not as there are no characters that were race swapped into White for ideological reasons. Practical reasons should be understood. Everyone that isn't a retard should know movies cost hundreds of millions to make and they are designed to make a profit.
If some Black and brown people have a problem with so called "whitewashing" even when it's done for practical reasons then they should blame their own ethnic insecurities and complexes. I am not bothered with race swapping White characters as long as it's done for understandable practical reasons.
