Yup. Agreed. Was excellent. Moved along nice. Some humor and great acting.

The story and acting was great.
What kept me watching was the fact that it kept a good interesting pace.

I like that the family life was just normal.
Yeah dads away a lot, just so happy there wasn't a teenage girl psycho moment / bonding / finding the true meaning of family moment.

I agree. It was nice, for a change, that Sandler's character's daughter was normal and well-adjusted instead of the usual tortured/miserable/rebellious teen daughter cliche.

He really has the lock on "Washed-up [insert]" roles. He's a natural!

I get he can create his characters to resemble him in real life but like he could have a character that wears slacks and dress show. Not every look needs to be a slub.

Me too. The first one I saw him in was Reign Over Me, a quite sad movie.

It also introduced me to the excellent PS2 video game Shadow of the Colossus which I'll never forget the movie for.
