I just finished it as well. Some guy at work warned me that it is filled with Qanon stuff. I saw literally nothing about Qanon. Nothing.
Why was Rocio‘s dad the only one in the hallway looking for his kids? Wouldn’t there be a whole bunch of parents running around looking for their kids?
That being said, decent movie. Not great. Plays like a straight-to-tv movie. Jim’s constant eyes-welling-with-tears got played out pretty quickly. I also don’t think he’s the greatest actor. Lots of silly stereotypes in the bad guys, too.
It’s an important movie in message. I don’t think anyone would regret watching it, but you won’t see it up for any academy awards either.
The "QAnon stuff" was the narratives on there that this movie was being suppressed. Including made up stories of theater owners mysteriously cancelling performances, setting off fire alarms in order to do clear cinemas, or refusing to sell tickets.
I know people who went to see the movie convinced they had defied some shadow government conspiracy to try and bury it.
