A bit too sentimental

Good movie overall. Great acting. Intense without being graphic or gratuitous. I heard a lot of talk about politics in this movie. But after seeing it myself, I don’t get why

The only issue is that the movie is so sentimental, with the melodramatic music and the endless crying

I agree.
It was ok. Could have used a lot of different choices.
I think the real story somehow limited the filmmaker, but a better one could have made it a great movie.
