The moment you decide to turn on your brain, the movie becomes unbearably stupid

From the beginning, where the protagonist decides to commit multiple crimes just to see a sick mother, to the last part, where she finally decides to use the gun, but in the most inconvenient time.

I completely agree.

I agree. It was literally just an hour and a half of people making stupid mistakes 🤦🏻‍♀️

The fact that the husband and wife just happened to be at the same lodge as the kidnappers just made no sense. I could see if it was just the wife, but why were they all there?

reply

The wife met them there to give them the girl's medicine, no?

reply

yeah the kidnappers knew the girl was sick so the wife / maid / nurser / accomplice took the same route as them in case the girl would need help cuz she was in on it, and pretended a surprise trip to her husband as an excuse to him to travel there.

They show a scene where the nanny got a call from them. They were saying something like , “you didn’t tell us this girl was sick. You bring us the medicine or you don’t get paid.” That’s why the nanny ended up there. My guess is that she just couldn’t go without bringing her husband Ed

I think getting away to see her sick mother was the ostensible reason for her escape. The other is that she just wanted out of that detox place. She blew off the group meeting at the start, she was kinda rude to the tattooed chick with the phone, and the detox staff people were jerks. So I think her escape was really about getting out of there: the sick mother was just an excuse
