Ron Stallworth's afro and David Duke's mullet

In the movie, Ron Stallworth's afro and David Duke's mullet are a couple of the worst retro hairdos in cinema history. Ron Stallworth's afro looked like a bunch of cheap black pipecleaners glued to a helmet....almost claymation-style....He basically had his shoulders hugged the entire time and keep his fake afro on. Even afros worn today in 2019 look more real, and than that pathetic low-budget job. And David Duke's mullet looked pretty permed as if he was trying out for Statler Brothers.

The movie is mainly a fictitious account of a black police officer infiltrating the KKK in early-1970s Colorado Springs.

The black population in Colo. Springs during that time, was very minuscule at about 3%. The population today is 6% black. The way Spike Lee directed the film, it seemed like it was set like in the midwest, Tennessee or Kentucky, where black communities are more common than in Colorado. I mean, out of the blue, in the movie Ron Stallworth (posing as a common hoodlum black troublemaker) would vandalize a KKK-stronghold in the middle of nowhere, Colorado....c'mon....He would have been sought out easily if that was really the case.

The movie is an overrated piece of garbage. One of Spike Lee's worst, since Mo Better Blues.
