Marlon Brando won an Academy Award for portraying Vito Corleone in The Godfather.

Then, Robert De Niro won an Academy Award for portraying the younger Vito Corleone in The Godfather II.

Good catch... I forgot that one.

I think John Wayne and Jeff Bridges might both have been nominated for Rooster Gogburn… but I don't think either won.

That being said... Joker is almost definitely going to be the 2nd.
Cant imagine anyone topping Phoenix' performance this time around.

While technically that is true Marlon Brando refused to accept the award for Godfather and Robert DeNero couldn't make it to the academy award ceremony so he didn't get the Oscar either.

Not a win but Sylvester Stallone was nominated for Rocky twice, 40 years apart.
