Sam and Tory in Season 4
Would you say Sam is the real bully in season 4? It seemed like Tory had grown up, matured, and just wants to get through life, but Sam kept taunting her and pushing her.

Tory went after Sam hard in season 2 and left her traumatized, so I don't blame Sam for ALL her actions.
I also think Tory has more growing to do, though she's definitely improved.
So while I'd generally agree with you, they're still kids who unfortunately know how to push each other's buttons and BOTH lack the maturity and control to let things go.
It's heartbreakingly believable, IMHO
To be fair, Sam doesn't know that Tory has changed.

I never said Tory wasn't a bully and she did worse than anything Sam did in season 4. However, by season 4 Tory had matured to the point where she just wants to go about her life. Sam on the other hand, couldn't let things go. In a way, Tory in season 4 is like John Rambo in First Blood. Whereas Sam is a lot like Will Teasle. If you haven't watched First Blood the character Rambo just wants to be left alone, but the Sheriff Teasle keeps pushing Rambo until he snaps.

Tory "moved on" because Sam's mom told her to back off and let her back into school.
Was Sam making fun of Tory petty? Sure, but you can't even get mad at her for that after what Tory did to her.
Sam isn't a bully but she has the LaRusso gene that makes her handle situations in the worst possible way.

shareThey're not provoking, they're responding to things that happened to them. Things Tory caused. Amanda said "Stay away from my family/home" and Sam made fun of Tory. These aren't even comparable to what Tory has done.
shareI would say her mother confronting Tori at her work place was the wrong setting. Sam taunting her next job was also just asking for trouble.
