Afraid to see this, because of those stupid generic bullies

Don't tell me they get away with beating up the main kid and get off Scott free! I fucking hate that shit so much! Please tell me justice is served and the goddamn bullies and they don't become "Karma Houdinis".

Is it like in The Karate Kid where Johnny and his gang beat Daniel to a pulp and then Mr. Miyagi defeats the Cobrai Kai gang by blocking their punches and kicks and throwing them to the ground?

This movie is a lot of children getting the hell beaten out of them by their parents or by bullies. Very unpleasant.

Why do people like this movie? I mean it looks okay but how the fuck can people enjoy this when it's filled to the brim with physical violence from the hands of bullies and abusive parents? It's not fun to watch at all! How could any normal person with a "sane" mind and or a sense of morality even find this shit "enjoyable"?

Movies like Jordan Peele's Us and Candyman 2021 are called "trash" but this shit is okay? Is that the reason why those movies failed was because there was a lack of physical violence from the hands of bullies and abusive parents?

Logically, slasher movies about people getting stabbed or decapitated should be worse, but they're not. At least that shit is played for "campyness", you cannot do the same for physical violence! It just doesn't fucking work unless you're Alex from A Clockwork Orange and even he went "too far" with that shit!

I bet the physical violence and beatings are so bad it makes Art the Clown from the Terrifier movies look like the goddamn Leprechaun!

Justice is served to all the bullies in this movie. I don't want to say more about it and spoil it for you in case you do decide to watch it.

reply

I hope so. I heard there's a brutal beating before the kid gets kidnapped and one of the bullies gets a rock smashed on him.

reply

If you decide to watch it I'd like to hear your thoughts on it after 😊

reply

Afraid to because of the "bully brutality" scene. I can tolerate it in the original Karate Kid, but not in this film. It's probably really hard to watch.
