First of all, they're all going to be dated. For one thing, they depict life in the late 19th century, and for another, they were made in the 1950s and 1960s. To expect them to reflect the television style, technology, or ideological values of the 2020s would be naive.
That being said, I recommend "The Rifleman" for a great father-son relationship along with plenty of righteous violent killing, and "Gunsmoke", particularly the first ten or so seasons, for mature stories and character development.
