Why no sunglasses?

There was a scene where Arnie looks at his sunglasses right before he wanted to leave his home.
The whole audience in the cinema was screaming. That brought back memories from T1 and T2.
But Arnie didn't take those glasses.
Why?
That's what people want to see, the cool Arnie Terminator.

reply

I think because it symbolized he is old now and doesn't need to look cool anymore...

he killed john in the sunglasses (also the T1 terminator wore them for terminating all in the police station) - they are synonymous with the terminator and terminating. therefore its symbolic that this evolved self aware T800 has turned his back on terminating.

Not me.

reply

No one in their right mind does. Why would a robot wear shades anyway? In The Terminator, it did so to hide the robotic eye.

reply

I couldn't agree with this comment more. Its a robot designed to kill. Not designed for fashion sense.

reply

Because Tim Miller fucked everything about this movie.

reply

Speaking of cool sunglasses, why wasn't Sarah still wearing the Matsuda's from T2?

reply

She lost them.

Probably at that beach bar in Guatemula.
