shareYup...but I do believe studios like plan b and Annapurna putting out this movie in December prime oscar season shows they have confidence in the project unlike Detroit where they felt it might be controversial and released it in summer.These studios have to save their goodwill with oscar voters...so they can’t push a turd for consideration as that would damage the plan b/Annapurna’s reputation with awards voters.
shareThey are surely aiming for the awards season. I just hope that if it doesn't happen to be nominated for both, acting and best picture, that it at least gets to be nominated for one of those.
shareIf it's the quality of script Mckay scored with in "Big short" it could be terrific. The acting will be
there: very strong.
don't give a fig about awards, but great anticipation for this film. there isn't a more important story to be told about America than this one.
just hoping they do it justice - given the director & cast, no reason to think they won't.
