Mike Rinder has the hots for Leah

I see love in his eyes when they cut to him while leah is talking.

reply

You should have your eyes examined. No way would he want that crass, unrefined Leah. She cusses more than he does.

reply

no way, she outclasses him by far. Very hot. If he ever landed a lady like her he would have (as they say) "out kicked his coverage."

reply

You saw episode 2? Mike already has a super hot younger wife and two small adorable kids, I'm pretty sure he's happy in that area, or at least I would be in his position.

I get way more of a "brother-sister" vibe, but I also noticed the lighting during the last AMA was super intense and gave mostly Leah and Mike multiple light reflections in their eyes, it made it look like like they were always about to cry or giving big puppy dog eyes. I don't think the people interviewed got the same treatment, though.

reply

I'm watching episode two and his story is kind of weird.

Because when he was in the church, he was doing it the most to others.

Then he says stuff like he was afraid of being attacked by Scientologists at a used car dealership that he worked at (with protests) so before they made a move, he decided to move to Clear water, Florida where I believe that earlier in the show they stated that a lot of Scientologists lived at.

What he is doing is uncivilized. His first statement about quitting a car dealership prematurely won't be sensible when mixed in with the next statement that then he moves back to one of the few areas in the world with a her percentage of Scientologists among the general population.

Uncivilized means it could happen to everybody.

But at his level he knows a lot too and when we deal with institutions like government and religion, we're dealing with every single member of it... but at least it appears they didn't agree with what he was doing...

But to do it to a guy doing it, how are you going to stop it?

I'm not saying the Church of Scientology clearly wins every point over this man, and there is a way that they cannot because they simply made up of their membership, so obviously someone in this organized religion could be wrong and almost no human is perfect, but I'm watching episode two and this man was uncivilized.

He quit a job somewhere else and moved into a Scientology populated area.

That means when he was a working Scientologist, a little bit of his uncivilized nature and the impossible missions he was given, it was imbued in Scientology.

Now with NSA and all the things I've gone through as an American citizen, and the dozens if not hundreds of people that were harassed and gave up months of their lives to harass me, how it spilled out from these NSA quasi government related organizations, I understand that these issues get murky with a highly bureaucratic organized religion if someone else is already wrong... it gets hard to say if they're doing enough of their part to make the problem go away for what they can...

But I can say that I'm glad personally that this man, the way he's thinking, uncivilized, and the nature of what he presumes responsibility, I am glad he is no longer directly involved in the church.

And if his replacement is uncivilized too, that again is a problem, cuz then it can happen to anybody, which means any Scientologist or anyone that is not a Scientologist in a way that they won't understand the pressure through their own actions and deceit... Uncivilized people will make the problem more, and more annoying and less clear to fix a personal issue.

Whatever they're doing to people, they don't need Mike R helping them.

With that said he also knows many things and there is a way he would have to have some credibility but there's also a way he should be questioned the whole way.

There is an important lesson here. This man was formerly a prominent figure in Scientology.

Things like this are very possible with organized religion, and that's why on A&E the message Mike and Leah conveys is very important.

But I'm not getting carried away and saying that more decentralized religions are better for everybody, because unless they are designed to be decentralized, taking out the bureaucracy could create a greater issue, and even in a decentralized religion, even a priest with less control or means for corruption can do wrong too.

Regardless at one time, we know that Mike was a Scientologist.

But he was also more intrusive than most people. For example after he quits his jobs on the PRESUMPTION of harassment, and moves into one of the few highly Scientology populated areas in the countries, and records his issues as well, he sees a video camera in a birdhouse on his neighbor's lawn in a fairly civilized way for American society where we are clearly video taped and intruded upon without knowing, or there was a lot we did not do or a lot of places we did not reach to avoid a higher level of intrusion.

But anyway, he invades his neighbor's property with his own video camera and films himself dismantling his neighbor's birdhouse, now we approach the level of crime, to investigate.

Whatever it is about him and this intrusion, it is a personal fascination stemming from him more than others but we should be mindful that a man like this can become a prominent figure in such a Bureaucratic religion such as Scientology when no position would even be available in many other religions.

But yes, even he can rise, and every problem you can state that you see in him, well he was once with them and that's the truth that can't be denied.

But he needs to figure some stuff out for himself and be civilized and ethical about his conduct. Because there is a blatant implicit truth - he's taking risky moves to start complaints that a civilized man trying to get away wouldn't take.

reply

How do you figure the things Mike does are uncivilized?

We're hearing what they all choose to disclose, but I'm sure there are many things that Mike will never speak of, at least on camera. Mike was in an elite section of Scientology, and knows what they are capable of, so when he quit a job out of fear, he knew exactly what he was doing.

It seems easy to judge his behavior (the birdhouse), but it's impossible to really understand the anger and frustration ex Scientologists must feel when they're constantly being watched. It would surely push me to the brink of doing something bad, which is what Scientology is trying to do to those who leave the cult.

reply

Exactly. Driven to the point of suicide.

reply

Did anyone read all that? I couldn't get past the second paragraph...

reply

I didn't even finish the sentence once I realized he was a scientologist.

reply

i love them, and i love some of the confused AF faces mike makes...idk why it makes me laugh

reply

The chem is definitely there.

reply

I think they both have a little crush on each other. Harmless, though. They've been through a lot together. They are on this journey together which is very meaningful and seems to give them both a sense of personal fulfillment.

reply

did anyone see the last episode where Leah grabs Mike's leg in the car after some sort of quip?

Schwing! I'm fairly certain they're messing around and she was all over his "Operating Thetan."

Please tell me you have a twitter account, because you are hilarious and
I want to follow your account LOL
