Humans lose in the end. Saved you an hour and 45 mins.

I thought it ended with the bombing of the alien's nest. My take was that humans will never stop fighting and rebellion will continue.

That's right. The new commissioner delivered a bomb to the underground alien HQ and the brief montage of various locations around the world and fragments of footage imply that the insurgency is worldwide...
However... I have to say that I kinda wonder why a bomb couldn't have been planted on the previous commissioner and sent down with him. The security seemed the same. Why did the carrier have to be aware of the bomb? They planted a bomb on the human representative at Soldier Field by having it slapped onto his back...
Seems like a lot of complexity and sacrifice to get to what could have been managed pretty simply.

Ooo I liked V. Watched that as a kid and it was 100x better. You're right though, same concept where the aliens were draining Earth of all the resources.

The only reason that I have this on right now is because there is nothing else at all on. Almost literally!
