Why are people excited for this???

James Gunn is one of those guys that people act like is a name people should get excited about but honestly, I've never been interested in any movie he's made. Outside of his Guardians trilogy I'm not sure if he's ever made a good movie. Slither was awful, Super is poor man's Kick-Ass. His Suicide Squad movie is admittedly better than the other one, but that's a really low bar and his SS movie wasn't great by any stretch. Even Guardians 2 is lame and I love Kurt Russell. They are also making this movie way too quickly and I think they should push it back to 2027 or 2028 to garner more hype. I know most comic nerds can't get enough superheroes but I personally feel fatigued from it all. Henry Cavill is still fresh in my mind as Superman. Also, David Corenswet has not been impressive in anything he's been in.

because James Gunn cant miss also this a hopeful Superman we are finally getting are you kidding it my most anticipated Superhero its is getting more hype

Can't say I agree with everything you said, but I feel that even the good movies he has made have some poor character changes like Yondu, Adam Warlock, Drax and Mantis.
Gunn has crammed too many characters into this movie and I haven't liked what I've seen so far. He claimed that his DC movies would not have any unnecessary characters or cameos in them. If that is the case then this looks to be more of a Justice League movie than a Superman one.

I want to keep an open mind on this movie but you forgot James Gunn's worst movie, Scooby Doo where he destroyed Scrappy Doo as a character out of arrogance.
