Why does Superman have so many Super pals in this one? Okay, it's not General Zod again but can a team up film really work for Superman or is this going to land up looking like Black Adam 2.0?
For Supergirl I gather it's to introduce her and give some backstory before her upcoming solo movie, a direct adaptation of the comic Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow which features an established Kara. Maybe it's doing a similar thing for Hawkgirl and GL.
I wouldn't disagree with that, in so much as the ones I've seen - the first two GOTGs. But then they are specifically team up movies. Superman though is a different beast...
I get that and to be fair, it's not often he shares the screen with other heroes. And the only films we have for comparison are the Snyder-verse entries.
I think this is going to bomb after The FLASH & AQUAMAN 2 and spare me it's James Gunn making it and he walks on water and can do no wrong nonsense.. Comic book movie fatigue is real folks..
This might be true. But I think that's maybe more down to Avengers / teams of superheroes (Eternals, Marvel's, etc). All these films do seem to be bombing now.
And rather than trying to do something different, e.g. forgetting about "universes" and built up to "event" movies, and going back to doing a standalone superhero movie (which may actually have seemed a bit different), it looks like they're doubling down with teaming up potentially the one character who truly doesn't need to be teamed up with anyone!

Title changed to just Superman. This is very clearly an attempt to deflect attention from the fact this is really "Superman And Friends". Really can't see this working...
