You Know One Person Who Will Survive
(SPOILERS)
1.) She's on the poster.
2.) She's black.
3.) She's a woman.
I thought the guy from the start was most likely to survive. Which he did. She also did. But I wouldn't say I knew she was going to. Is your problem with black people? Women? Or both?
But yeah I don't know why she is the only one on the front cover.
She's on the poster. So, she's the lead character. And, can you imagine the "outrage" if they then killed off a black woman? Hollywood now only exists to check boxes.
Perfectly fine that she's black and a woman. I have no problem with that. But, I could only imagine the blowback if they killed her off.
Black people are usually killed off first in horror movies
shareI don't think there would be any blowback. It's a horror movie. People die.
shareAll I'm saying is I don't think this movie had any agenda. Women have been surviving horror movies since the start.
