4 or 5 episodes too many

This should have been condensed down to 8-9 episodes. Just a little too much of Micros family, too much of Billy and the female agent. It felt stretched intentionally, and thus comes across as filler. A concentrated version of this season would have been great. Still a good show, but I don't think any of these Marvel series need 13 episodes.

10 is a very solid number. I'd be even happier with 8. 8 episodes is 4 movies back to back. If you can't tell a story in that amount of time... It's a streaming show. We're not trying to get add revenue. Those playback numbers are just for the company. I simply can't see where money is being made by padding out seasons with filler on these shows. Unless it's all about selling episodes in foreign markets. It probably is.

Eight is enough. Ten is pushing it.

Our friends in the UK had the right idea with their shows. They don't overdo it like we absolutely must in the US. Some of these shows on regular network TV has 24 episodes in one season. When I see that, I know there's going to be filler.

Of course, when the showrunners know they're receiving a shortened season, they'll sit there and stretch out the episodes as much as they can. Kurt Sutter did with "Mayans M.C.". I remember one of them being near as long as a film with a run time of ~90 minutes.

I know Netflix loved to pad the timing when "Luke Cage" was still airing. With thirteen episodes and some of them being over an hour, I'd be sitting here hoping the damn thing would end already. Guess my wish went a little too far.
