So, nobody is going to talk about the coerced sex?

She basically forced her husband to go down on her - twice, in the first episode.

Why is this okay?

At the very beginning of the episode, he was trying to have morning sex with her and she refused him. This so-called "coerced sex" scene was just to illustrate how much she had changed after her transformation. I didn't see him complaining at all--if anything I'd say he was more surprised than coerced--and later they both agree on how great their sex has gotten.

Rape and human trafficking are very serious real-world problems, but don't imagine them where they don't exist.

reply

But imagining problems where none exist is the very foundation of SJWism!

That's hilarious.
Its pretty obvious sarkos is a red pillar with his panties in a bunch about how women get a pass for things that men don't. His two posts are oozing grievance.

Hm. From what I could tell she was smiling and he was a willing participant. Please consider the context of the show, it's a horror comedy. Comedy. It's not a Lifetime special. They're a married couple, high-school sweethearts, they clearly love each other...I'm not super loving the insinuation that once a woman shows the slightest sign of boldness in the bedroom it's "forced"...? Seemed pretty consensual. Did he say 'No"? Or "Stop"? Or literally anything to suggest he wasn't into it? Or did he just kinda go with the flow and enjoy himself...? I think you're looking into it too much, to be honest.

Dude, I hate to break it to you, but that's exactly what the vast majority of guys do to chicks when they're getting blowjobs; pushing them down onto the D. IRL not porn.

If Joel didn't want to go down on her, he could have easily gotten up. Hell she even put her hands behind her head.

reply

If your partner says they don't want to perform oral sex, I agree that it isn't particularly ethical to demand they continue and shove their head down.

And if a man was shown doing that to a woman, there would be quite a few people who were angry about it.

However...I don't think the show is trying to suggest that her behavior is admirable. The selfish way she gives into her impulses is a continuing theme.

Is he a toddler? Mentally challenged? Unable to say no?
