Nitpick about the early stages of his deafness

How did he get through at least 26 hours (starting before one show until after another, if they were actually two nights in a row) without his girlfriend/bandmates noticing his deafness? No conversations were had? None were shown, but how would that work?

They probably were a bit deaf after each show before already so perhaps they were used to is?

And then at home all day, and setting up before the next show?

I did think of this. There should have been a quick line where he said he wasn't feeling well or something just to avoid any conversations.

I thought the movie suggested that his deafness was sudden, not gradual. The deafness started at the store, when he suddenly stops hearing everything

Yes, I agree. But after his sudden hearing loss, he got through two shows and at least a day in between before anyone seemed to actually notice that he was deaf. There’s no way that could happen.
