while Z-Nation is definately the acceptable level of cheese for the SiFi channel, is this any better or worse than (the terrible) Wynonna Earp?

shareMuch Worse. Earp has a lot of fun with it's premise. Granted that the finale was only so-so, but the show found it's stride and kept me interested. VH is just depressing and cheap. After three years of "The Strain" I'm sick of scruffy stupid zombie-vampires. They don't have to be Bela Lugosi but at least "True Blood" had some interesting vampire characters. I may or may not finish the season. If it gets more about Vanessa then good, if not...
