Wasn’t she running Marathons on Discovery season one in the ships main passage?

Maybe she’s pregnant in real life

reply

I like a little chubby. Been watching some more and she's no emergency.

reply

It adds some much needed diversity to the show.

I stopped watching at the end of Season 1, are there any recent pictures of her?

reply

You made it farther than I did. Show is pretty disappointing. I've gathered that Picard is even worse.

Unlikeable characters and the travesty that were the Klingons did it in for me, The Orville is a much better show that has a 90’s Trek feel to it.

I only managed the first episode of Picard which was enough for me, I’d have never of thought that was possible back in the 90’s, I was a huge fan of Star Trek back then!

She used to be on a show called Longmire and she was pretty chubby there. I think it might be her natural state and she slimmed down for Star Trek.

reply

Thought the same thing.

It's good and important that the show can feature a ginger chubby who is comfortable in her portliness.

The real world is becoming really tough for kids struggling to deal with the trauma of obesity, especially with role models like Adele bowing down before the patriarchal requirement of beauty. It's important these kids see that they can continue to be as big as they naturally are without having to change.

It's good to make kids feel good about themselves. It's also good to point parents to the dangers of obesity in children and adults. The goal must be improving food standards so manufacturers don't make the cheap crap they do now. Also, portion size is ridiculous. So, in general, better education should be paramount.

That's bullshit.

Men finding more attractive women that are young and have not excessive overweight is a biological instinct, you don't need some patriarchal conspiracy theory to explain it.

Adele lost weight because she wanted to score higher in the sexual market, and that's it.

It's important these kids see that they can continue to be as big as they naturally are without having to change.

And that's not only bullshit. That's even toxic, which is worse.

Overweight not only affects women's sexual value. It affects health. Promoting overweight is actually promoting less healthy habits.
