At last
This novel has been crying out to be serialised ever since it was published. There are probably lots of people whose initial joy at hearing that it is finally happening is followed by a nagging regret at never trying to write it themselves, regardless of whether they have achieved success as a writer or not. There has been at least one previous attempt, with only the pilot first episode being made as far as I know: it didn't get the mood right.
