Reviews all sound the same

I have been reading a lot of reviews for this movie and watching reviews too, on that well known platform, and I have yet to see a single one that explains why this movie is so great and what sets it apart from any other vampire movie.

All the reviewers seem to be reading from the same page.

I constantly hear the 2024 version is a love letter to the 1922 original. That the actors are outstanding. The director is outstanding. The movie is oustanding. The script is outstanding. Willem Dafoe is outstanding. Bill Skarsgård is outstanding. The whole cast is outstanding. The music is outstanding. The lighting is outstanding. On a scale of 1 to 10, the horror is an outstanding 11.

I've yet to see any review that tells me what the reviewer personally thought. All I get are cliches!

Hopeless.

Maybe it will be outstanding.

I don't think most of these reviewers have even seen the movie. They're just copying what others have said.

Yeah I remember a few other horror flicks that got similar positive reviews and hype and I watch it and end up very underwhelmed .. I really hope this delivers

Jeremy Jahns gave a good review and said it brought back the feeling of dread and terror once associated with vampire fiction. Not this "romantic antihero" crap we've had for the last twenty years.

Matt Zoller Seitz gives what appears to be a very thoughtful review on the RogerEbert.com website, a review that I think would satisfactorily answer why the film is considered "outstanding."

Though what is outstanding for one person may be rubbish to another. Subjectivism and all.
