Would you consider Tom Hardy an A-lister?
Most of us would definitely consider Hardy to be a great character actor, but does he qualify as an A-lister by this point?

But A-listers also have to be household names. Tom Hardy is not one of them, unfortunately. Don't know if he ever will be unless he becomes the next Bond.
Heck, many people can see him in a movie and not even know he was Bane. I look at Bane, I even hear him... and I don't see Tom Hardy myself.
In the end, he's just not the lead enough. There are very few SAG members who are supporting A-listers, like Morgan Freeman.

Oh, come on---MAD MAX:FURY ROAD definitely put on him on the A-list, since he was the lead of the film, and he killed it, just like he kills it in just about everything I've seen him in. I'm looking forward to see DUNKIRK because a lot of my fave British actors are in it, including him, which is a plus. So hell yeah, he's an A-lister without a doubt. And he's done a lot of leads---you just haven't counted or seen them yet, lol.
Tom Hardy's character is going to be your favorite character in the movie that's for sure. He almost made me shed my tears.
