Yawn.

Any show/series/movie done basically could be called a rip off of something else, as it would be VERY hard to have a totally original show since almost every possible story line has been done somewhere in the world in some form or another.

There's a difference from having a similar idea though to flat out rip off though. Ultimately, if a show is giving people enjoymentand there is 'enough' originality in it not to be legally called an actual rip off, I don't see it as a bad thing. If you don't like it, don't watch it.
