The Movements were seriously stupid as hell, and the actors looked extremely dumb performing them. Like embarrassingly stupid looking. I would be ashamed if I was caught on camera looking so ridiculous. They all should receive Emmy nominations for keeping a straight face during the unintentionally hilarious ending.
Also, believe it or not but until you've done drama classes, you won't realize that those movements are not the stupidest things you're asked to do as an actor. I can think of a few exercises I've done in drama courses that are way more embarrassing and pointless.

I can see how that would be helpful in allowing actors to get past inhibitions, but as a key aspect to a show like this it looked really silly in my opinion.

I have the same problem with Gene Kelly movies. And all musicals actually. The way the actors have to do these weird movements once and a while. It's like, who does that.
I thought it was really beautiful when the 5 were doing the movements in the last episode. I thought it was powerful and poetic. However, I don't understand why that caused the shooter to just stand there and watch them. I would have expected him to be either be shouting at them or saying "What the hell??" or opening fire on them.
I thought the choreography was awesome. Reminded me of contemporary dance. Sure...a little odd at first but I was surprised by how well they all performed it. Sharp and graceful.....not as easy as it looks.
Agreed. Wonderful choreography. To work together in unison in the face of mortal danger was an act I found quite moving. The Movements required teamwork. Those who has heard the OA's story achieved together what none could have accomplished alone. While the derision of some is hardly surprising, it is unfortunate. We are stronger together than alone. I saw this at the Women's March. I saw it at O'Hare this past weekend.
